The Best Photo Ideas for Dads and their Kids
We have some great ideas for how to make your Father's Day special this year with a Father's Day photo shoot!
What better way to save memories for later years?
You'll look back on these photos with fond memories, they're well worth the effort and take a truly memorable shot, and what's more, they make a fantastic gift for Father's Day too.
Tips before you start
You don't need expensive camera equipment or even an expensive photographer to take memorable photos.
Phone cameras these days are quite powerful and with a little bit of tweaking can produce fantastic results.
One great tip is to always make sure the light source is behind you when taking a photo, try to think about where the light is coming from, or try different angles to see what looks best.
Also, with phone cameras make sure you press the screen exactly where you'd like to focus.
Another great tip is to take multiple photos. Snap away multiple times and review your captures later, you'll be choosing the best photo from a set of 10 or 12 and this alone will give great results compared to a single snap.
The following is a list of ideas for you to try at home...

The Generation Photo
This one is great as it brings not only Dad and child, together, but Grandad can join in the fun too.
Simply take a picture of Grandad holding up a decent sized frame. Now take a picture of Dad holding up the same frame.
You see where this is going. With the most basic of photo editing skills you can add a picture of the little one holding a teddy into the frame that Dad is holding.
Now add that picture into the frame that Grandad is holding and you have a memorable photoshoot that guests and family will love!
Doing Dad Stuff
This one is a family favourite because it's so easy but achieves great results, fast.
Simply set the little one up with some of Dad's tools or Dad's favourite thing.
Sitting in Dad's chair pretending to read a book, or sat amongst Dad's power tool, but the great thing about this one is that it's so personal and works whether your Dad loves to read, build stuff in the shed, enjoys putting models together, paints or likes fishing or golf.
Daddy's Boots are Too Big
A simple one, but a good one, Dad doesn't need to be in this one so it makes a fantastic gift.
Just grab Dad's big boots and take some pictures of the little one in his huge boots that he will one day fill.
Giant Ties on Small Kids

You might be sensing a theme here, but the sight one of Dad's huge seeming ties being worn by a little one is a hilarious and timeless image that will last for years as a fond memory.
